Pat Harrison has been passionate about painting and the beauty of the world around us from early childhood.

During his studies at Aachen University and the Imperial College London and thoughout his career in industry he has continued to paint and perfect his techniques.

Since turning to art full-time he was accepted as a member to the Devon Art Society of Torquay in 2012.

He is also the president of the NAROMA Art Society attending many solo and group exhibitions both in England and Germany.

In 2013 he was presented with the Judges Award at an exhibition in England and the Palm Art Recognition and Merit Awards in 2019 and 2020 in Germany.

His paintings created in the traditional style can be found in private collections in several countries. One of his creations can even be seen as a permanent feature in a museum in Greater London.

He loves painting en plein air but often uses his own photographs and his experience together with personal memories to create his impressions of landscapes, seascapes, townscapes and still lifes.

He has joined the Association Embracing Realist Art because he believes in their goals. His favourite subjects are the coast and country of Devon and Cornwall as well as the mountains of Austria but he has also captured famous buildings around Europe.

In order to refine his techniques he occasionally enjoys painting reproductions of old masters.
